A discovery!
I just realized something about myself: every semester I choose a new person (not consciously, mind you) to follow around and do everything with. This may sound a little weird, but quite frankly, my friend group at Bard is an ungraceful and large blobby sort of thing, and taking everyone into account all the time is impractical. So every semester I pick a friend and do most of my activities (going to the dining hall, doing homework, going to the library, etc.) with that person. That doesn't meant I don't hang out with other people, I just depend on one person to make sure I'm not alone. I have never realized that I've done this before, until just now when I was thinking about it in the shower. And I know exactly who it was each semester! Fabulous! First semester freshman year it was definitely Conrad, second semester I think it was Julia, sophomore year fall semester it was Logan, and then when she left for BGIA in the spring it was Stacen. When I was in Argentina it didn't really work that way, and now this semester it seems to have become Tom. It's an interesting thought, anyway.
