Argh...somebody stole my wallet today, and hilariously, yesterday somebody stole my friends' camera. Circumstance #1: my friend was taking a picture (for a project for our program, no less!) and some dude on a bike rode by and grabbed it right out of her hands. She had the camera strap around her wrist and was holding on pretty tight, but this dude was just stronger and more skilled than her. Luckily, she had been thinking about getting a new camera anyway...but yeah.
Circumstance #2: I keep my wallet in a pocket in my bad that zips up, and is behind another pocket that doesn't, thinking a thief would go for the more obvious pocket. Apparently not...some dude unzipped the pocket and took the wallet. I must have been standing waiting for a light to change and didn't notice.
Apparently these sorts of things happen all the time here. I know that theft is common, but I didn't know that the thieves were so damn SKILLED. Thanks, Buenos Aires.
Other than that, things are pretty good I guess.
