Yeah, last time I wrote I said that I didn't want to be busy for work on Thursday. Ha! Yeah, I was busy, but it was a nice kind of busy. The kind where you are busy steadily and everyone is happy, and everything is ontime and ready to go. At least I made $40. And the day before I made $27. This is all leading up to last night. I'm now reminded why I hate working the closing shift on Sunday. Heather worked from 1pm-4:30pm and had $67.00 in sales. I come in at 4:30pm, and by 6:15pm I had $667.00 in sales. I got my ass handed to me. Nick came up to me at the end of my little rush and he said it figures that we do $1000 hour and 667 of it was in TA. He really wanted it in liquor and food sales. Oh well. I can't say that I had fun doing that. I didn't like getting 4 online orders at once, and two of them were $100 each. That is alot of food to box up. I'm proud of everyone helping me out. We only missed one dinner, and we ended up delivering it ourselves prompty with it still being warm. Thanks to Molly, Mark, Aaron, and Nick for helping me out there. Whee!!
After that fun time, Aaron and I went to the Fox and Hound to relax. Mark ended up joining us. The three of us made sure the resident Buzztime trivia guy didn't win a game. All three of us each won a game. We're evil! I'm kinda upset though that I wasn't even a little bit buzzed after four drinks. It's too expensive to drink anymore than that. It was nice to be able to sit back, chat, and play trivia with the guys. I remember last year about this time, there were like 10 of us all playing trivia after a hard night. We all had seats at the bar competing against each other. Stupid things like that make it worth while working for a great group of people.
Backtracking a bit, Saturday was spent in my pjs on my couch watching SeaQuest DSV Season 2. Actually, I'm already almost done with it. It was nice vegging. Alya especially loved it. She likes how I play the blanket game with her. She can be as rough as she wants and can't hurt me. Every cat owner knows this game. You put your hand or foot under the blanket and wiggle it. The cat pounces. Or in Ayla's case, bites it as hard as she can. She just gets a mouth full of blanket. Warning, this game is not fun played with a blanket made of yarn. ;)
Friday was spent being bored. I decided that I should go to Walmart and get the new Harry Potter movie. Big mistake. It's true that you can't walk in there and only get one thing. I went in HP and came out with Mr. & Mrs. Smith, SeaQuest Season 2, and Stargate SG1 Season 6. Everything for under a $100. Yay me! Ha, I lead a sad life.
I'm looking forward to this week. I get a full paycheck from the Housing Authority finally. I'm also off from Outback until next Tuesday. Friday night I'm going out with Jenn Graham. Should be a lot of fun since we haven't hung out since high school graduation. I'll admit, it's been real hard. I haven't kept in contact with any of my high school friends. I really wish I would have. Jenn's the only one who hasn't completely given up on me and has tried to keep in contact. Not to mention, we tend to run into each other in weird places. So, Friday night with Jenn, nothing on Saturday, and then it's that time of year again: The Outback Xmas/Holiday/Anniversary party. In other words, the one night of the year where it's perfectly okay to drink yourself into a stupor. Well, maybe for them. Last year I did, and I remember puking twice in between car rides to go and get Nate cigarettes. I don't remember much past the gift exchange and anniversary gifts. It's at the same place that it was last year, The Sloppy Duck. They are kind enough to shut down the bar for us and make it a private party. We only have to pay for the drinks. Food is provided so we can at least try not to get so drunk. Last year taxis were provided too. Don't worry, everything is as safe as it can be. I should ask Mandy if she will be coming this year. ;)
