Stadium Disaster:
This dream is heavily associated with the people I have been watching on tv recently. Just a warning.
I was attending a NASCAR type race at a stadium. The top stadium seats however were filled with sand, while the lower level was clean and able to be sat in. I don't know who I was with, but my "party" were all siting down at the closed part of the stadium. For some strange reason, there was a lighthouse down at that end right in the middle of the seating with a big cement wall right behind it. We were sitting next to lighthouse and in front of the wall.
We heard this rumble and didn't know where it was coming from. The seats underneath us started to vibrate. We looked down towards the grandstands and saw people get up quickly out of their seats, and start running down to the infield. It looked like the sand was shifting and landsliding down the seats from the top. We saw it slowly get closer to us. I grabbed the guy who was sitting next to me and told him to climb the wall. Thank goodness the wall was covered in cracks, so it provided nice handles for our feet and hands as we scaled the wall.
The guy I grabbed turned out to be Commander Ford from Seaquest. He got up on the wall, and held his hand down for me to grab.
Ford: Where do we go next, that sand is going to give way any second?
Me: Get behind the lighthouse and put your back to it.
Ford: But sand will suffocate us as we are plastered against the wall.
Me: No, the sand will slide right past us if the stadium is steep enough, and there's not alot of sand!
We ran as fast as we could along the top of the wall heading behind the lighthouse. We started to slip as the sand started to slide down into the stadium. The sand came up to my chin as it slid past, but my idea worked. Ford and I heard the muffled screams as spectators were buried. It was sickening to watch. The cars were all buried under at least twenty feet of sand. It was dead silent in the stadium.
The lighthouse began to shake beneath our backs, and we heard another low rumble. We thought more sand was coming, but this wasn't the case. We emerged around the lighthouse and saw a low rescue plane flying over the stadium. It was bright orange in color and stood out against the sunny blue sky. The plane seemed to hover in one place and rolled over so it's bottom was sticking up in the air. Two people walked out onto the stomach and one of the people was Diane Sawyer. The person she had with her had a camera and was filming the devastation. We waved at them, and must have scared them because they both fell down onto the belly of the plane.
Above the plane's motors, I thought I heard commotion. I looked down the grandstands, and see little heads coming out of the stands. People survived. Unforunately, not all of them, but some. When the people on the plane saw this, they motioned to the pilot to land somewhere. However, we never saw that particular plane again.
