Woke up for a drink last night, and happened to check my computer and some away messages. Saw on Sam's that he is sick again with the fever back. Grrr!! I want to drop-kick this infection he has. Around my lunch time, I got a text from him saying he was leaving work and heading back to the doctors for more tests. His temp is up again, his left side of his back is very sore, and he keeps getting headaches. Not good. Waiting to hear back is the worst part. I don't know why I have such a big deal with this. It might be because I'm afraid he won't be able to come and visit in 11 days. :(
So instead of watching my normal shows last night, I opted to watch a special on a little hobby of mine, the Titanic and the Brittanic. I'm such a nerd sometimes. Did you know that according to the History channel, as of 2006 it wasn't only the iceberg that caused the ship to sink. They are now thinking a faulty expansion joint caused unneeded pressure in the middle of the ship. And that the stern of the ship did not raise to such a steep angle before it broke, it actually broke in half at a much smaller angle, due to the expansion joint. Everyone knows that there were triplet ships, The Olympic, The Titanic, and The Brittanic. Their proof: Olympic suffered cracks in her hull due to her size and the pressure of the waves if the ship became a bridge between two waves and were never reported. The Brittanic's expansion joint was changed after the Titanic went down because the builders figured that is where the ship was vunerable. Nice huh? Makes me wonder about this little cruise I'm going on. :) Unforunately, according to the videos and pictures, Titanic is only a ghost of what she used to be. There's not much left of her. Brittanic is much better off at the bottom of the Agenean Sea. It's one of the most dangerous dives in the world, but she can be reached because it's only 400 feet of water. How much of a dork am I? ;) I didn't finish watching the special and I have it DVR'd, but the History channel is trying to figure out why Brittanic sank in 55 minutes. They still aren't sure if it was a mine or a torpedo, or something else entirely that sank the ship. I think it's horrible that supposedly Germany sunk the medical ship.
