Mom's a bit more accepting of the fact now, after I explained to her how I covered all my bases. She didn't realize that I'm already buying alot of litter because Ayla liked that freaking huge litter box. And I already buy the big bags of food because it's cheaper in the long run. I even found a kitty-sitter if and when I ever go on vacation, like to Mr. Sam's.
I'm just worried because when I went home for lunch, Ayla hadn't moved from where she was sitting when I left this morning.
Right now she's just not sure of how to adjust to another kitty in the house. Curio and Nibs spent a great deal of time under the bed when Malu came around for the first week. I read that Perrin won't leave her alone and she hasn't put him in his place yet. Give it some time, the first couple of days are the roughest and when Ayla is fed up with him, she will let him know. Also make sure to give Ayla some extra cuddles.
Last night while watching tv, both of them kinda went at it. Poor Ayla is at a bit of a disadvantage because she has no front claws. But they soon were okay. Ayla was on my lap, and Perrin was at the foot of the couch. Last night either I was super tired or they didn't fight because I didn't hear a thing. Here's to Day 2.
