Outback Pins
I Got Two Pins Today:
There are two things every employee at Outback work for, tips (duh!) and pins. Walk into any Outback and you will see your server wearing a ton of pins they have either won or earned. I can name each occasion in which I was given a pin. I have 11 all together now, thanks to the two of them I got tonight. Here is a pic of one of the pins. Sadly, I do not have this particular pin. If you go to Ebay, at any point in time you will see our pins up for sale. Yes, they can be worth anywhere from $15 to $100 (24 kt gold pin you get at your 5 year anniversary).
My 11 pins I got for various reasons. There is a special pin just for the people who work Curbside Takeaway, I have 3 $1000 pins which are for hitting over a $1000 in sales, 3 Special event pins which you get for participating in charity events, the Potaroo Pennsylvania pin that I got from a kitchen manager for helping out back there, 1 Hospitality pin from a visiting kitchen manager, a Rita pin from the Key manager tonight, and my 2003 holiday pin for working Xmas eve and New Years eve last year. I'll get one more pin this year which is going to be the holiday pin for 2004. 12 pins all together. But that's nothing compared to some of the servers. Some of them have over 30 pins they wear at once.
