I'm Not One For V-day

Maybe you have been wondering where the heck I have been? Well, to tell you the truth. I'm working my ass off. For those of you who don't know it, this is the busiest time at Outback. And for once, I'm not talking about the restaurant part. Well, yes it is the 2nd busiest day of the year for them. Only Mother's Day outranks V-day. However, in Takeaway...it is our busiest day of the year. For all those lazy guys who don't want to brave the crowds in restaurants, they get Takeaway. ;) Actually, guys it's a good idea if you really think about it. You can make it romantic that way.

Friday, Takeaway did $660 which is above average for a Friday. Saturday we did $996 which is way above average for us, and today we did $500, which is above average. Tomorrow is what is going to kill us. Typically on V-Day, ToGo does over $2100. Guess what? We only have two people in Takeaway tomorrow too. No roller. So, if I come home pissed, you know why. The only saving grace for us tomorrow is that Phil scheduled the two strongest Takeaway people...Me and Ryan. We do have a third person now, but her first solo shift was on Friday. She's not ready to handle four lines of people calling to place their orders at once.

So, if any of you were planning on going to Outback for dinner, forget it. We're no longer taking Call-Aheads for the day. We're booked. Meaning, you'll just have to come in and wait 2 hours. Sorry.

V-Day has never been important in my life. I've never had a boyfriend during that time. Even Danny who I lasted the longest with, we met after V-Day and then I went off to college and didn't come back for V-day. It's just another day where I get sick of watching the PDA's. Sometimes, it's totally gross. Though, yesterday Star 104 had their Annual Kissathon where couples try to outlast each other by kissing for the longest. Then they win this awesome prize. Sorry, I could never do that. ;)

v-day, outback
