I'm Happy

I'm Happy:

My day today was awesome. Nothing spectucular happened, but it's the first day that I've had in a long time where nothing seemed to bother me. I slept pretty well for the first time in a while, and I was in the shower and on the bus at the right time. I even got to see the last half hour of Spiderman 2. Now all I have to watch is Hero.

I almost missed my bus stop cause I was daydreaming and we pulled around the corner and I yanked the cord where I normally get off, instead of pulling it at the corner so he knows to stop. I'm like...just let me off here. I would be pissed if I went all the way to the mall before I realized I missed my stop.

At work, was great. Right at 4:30pm I got busy. I had 6 orders all right off the bat. That was fun, I was on the phone with this lady who was quizing me about the menu, and then I was getting a phone call, being paged, and intercommed all at once. For the first time, I just relaxed and took care of one thing at a time, and everything was fine. Since, I couldn't get the intercom, Phil came in the ToGo room and was on the other phone taking an hour. Soon as I got done with mine, another order came in and I was on the phone again. He got done at the same time that I got done with my second order. I'm like, "See how much fun this can be." He just smiled and ran back into the kitchen to warn the boys that there were three orders from me coming in.

Phil was in a okay mood tonight. He played around a bit, and actually has been pretty nice to me since our meeting on Wednesday night. Though he did throw a curve ball at me tonight. I was just about to box my food, when he was calling for a hot food runner. Then he leaned over to me and told me to run the food.
"Come on you can run this."
"Didn't we have this little talk already?"
"Oh, I think you could handle this little two dish meal. You already know the food, and you know how to expo it, so why not run it."
"Nah, you don't want me to run it. Besides, I have my own to box up, and before you ask, I'm not running that order that is coming right up after it. It's too big."
"Well when you become a proprietor, you'll have to do all this stuff, and what will happen when you refuse to expo a huge order."
"I'm never going to be a Proprietor for Outback!!"

This got us on the aspect of what is important to Outback...money vs. family. He didn't like that I shot that down pretty fast. But the question, I am asking myself now is...why would he say that I would become a Proprietor some day. Hmm....

My day peaked when a guy ordered $40 worth of food, and he tipped me $30. How sweet is that? I needed that extra money, especially since I haven't been making good money at all. People are cheap after the holidays.

So, I'm in an excellent mood, and I think I'm going to keep this good mood as I fall asleep tonight and end on a good note.

P.S. How cute is that smiley above? I'm a bit flirty at the moment too. Too bad certain people aren't online, they would have such fun with me tonight.

outback, phil
