On The Way To Work

Jan 31, 2007 09:22

Today was an adventure to get to work. At least 7-9 inches fell over night from the time I left work until I got up this morning. My downstairs neighbor got stuck out in front of the house. I’m betting he didn’t get out into the street far enough. Did I mention he has a big truck? He also hit the telephone pole while trying to rev his tires to get out. That was pretty funny too. I shouldn’t say hit. It was more like scrapped and bumped. My car did very well getting out of the driveway. I’m hoping the neighbors come and snow blow the driveway while I’m gone. Tonight when I get home from work, I’m going to have to tackle my steps. I slid down them today. There was an 8-foot icicle right outside the outside door. At least, when I knocked it down, it didn’t bring the gutter down with it, and it didn’t fall on me. I thought I was going to be late to work, because I didn’t leave my driveway until 7:35am. I pulled into the Housing Authority at 7:55am. I wish I could make that sort of time when the pavement is dry! That’s even with all three School Zones flashing 15.

Going back to last night, it was a pretty uneventful night. I got home after trying to find alternate routes that didn’t involve inclines about 40 minutes later. I watched Voyager for a bit, and then decided to have a House marathon until American Idol was on. Ayla liked that, because she got to lay down with me and cuddle. She even received some tuna because I didn’t want a big dinner. American Idol was okay. I had to get up for my last astrology class. After spending the entire day at work working on that homework, I screwed it up. I put in the wrong date and every planet placement was off by a year. I wish Maria would of emailed me back and told me my mistake, instead of waiting until class to tell me. I could of went back and fixed everything and resubmitted it in that four hours that I watched TV instead.

During my class, I did not pay attention, since she was just going over the homework. I was too busy talking with Eric and Stephanie Scuro. I miss Steph. Living with her was fun, although the guys she had over were annoying. I think we would of have more fun if we weren’t sharing a single dorm room. I loved it when she cooked though. Eric was amusing as well. I feel bad for him working 40 hours a week, plus school full time as well. That reminds me that I have to post the past two journal entries that I’ve written so he can read them over on myspace. I’m surprised he doesn’t he get bored with my writings. They are mostly about the twins, work, or Outback. Actually, they are all about that. I have nothing else to write about.
