Is This God's Experiment...

I'm enjoying my time off today more so than ever for some reason. Though, I still had to go up to work for a half hour...basically to beg for a day off. ;) More on that later.

First off, a couple of my friends at Outback got to meet Nick and Nate. That was pretty funny, looking back on the whole thing. Apparently Nick is shy..I'm still trying to figure that one out. But don't worry guys, they all thought you both were hot. Yes, even Mackenzie! (Copying this over to myspace when I'm done...if you were wondering.) But stay away from her, she's too young for you both ;) Project time awaits your return from Florida after the holiday. New Years Eve is a possibility, but I work until 9pm. I know...you're soo disappointed!

Secondly, my father's side of the family all wants to see me this holiday! My friends that know the story, can you believe it?? I got an offical invitation via note from Grandma the other day. Christmas dinner is the Saturday before down at St. Joe's where Grandma is living. She got the social hall and kitchen for all the family members. Aunt Jan, Uncle Nathan, Rebekah, Abagail, and David plus Uncle Dave, Natalie, Alex, and Aunt Sandy and her son Michael plus myself all at one table. This is going to be amazing if it works out. I went to Outback today and begged Joe to have that Saturday off, and even gave up my day after Christmas off, so I could do it. People that will be missing from the dinner will be PJ, Heather, and Sean...if I figured it out right. Who knows...Heather might surprise us and same with Sean. Though, I'm not sure I can handle meeting his wife, Stephanie. Yes, friends there's another Stephanie Kazmierczak out there. ;)

Thirdly, I got a wonderful phone call today from Phillips. Holy cow, I can't believe it's been almost two months since we last talked. We talked last around the middle of October. In that time, he's gotten himself a full-time job at the Bloomsburg Hospital. He graduates with his MBA in May, and get this..he's going for his PhD. Becky is not too thrilled about the whole thing, but who knows. So we talked for a half hour today while I was on the way to Outback to talk to Joe. I told him about meeting the twins, and how my life has become a tad bit more social in the past two months. He, in turn told me about his new computer that can have his entire music collection on it, which is damn impressive. Could you imagine calling Phillips, Dr. Phillips, or Professor Phillips? Fuck that! I told him I'll never call him that...but he thinks differently. ;)

I woke up to a smile and a kiss today. That was pretty funny...yes they were from Ayla. This is something new she is doing. She knows when I'm starting to wake up. Then, she'll creep up to the head of the bed...and I'll roll over and open my eyes, and there she is in my face, and then she'll lick my nose. Which means, get your butt out of bed and feed me! The other thing is finally letting me do...carry her around. She used to hate to be carried, now she'll at least stay there for a minute before squirming out of my arms.

Okay, gotta go...choir practice calls.

Oh yeah, and points go to the person who can guess what music I was listening to when I wrote the title of this entry.....

ayla, nick, family, phillips, nate
