There's Something Funny...

There's just something funny about listening to Launchcast Yahoo radio and having the song go from Phantom of the Opera to Cher. :P

Yeah, so my last post didn't happen because there was no sun when I got up today. It was overcast all day until about 5:30pm. Oh well. And of course while I was unloading my car. Anyways, I decided that since I had 9 boxes packed up, I would make a trip over to the new apartment since there was no sun. Don't you know as soon as I made that decision, the sun came out a bit. Too late, I had already started and I wasn't going to stop now. I got all 9 boxes outside and into my trunk of my car. 3 boxes had to go in my back seat. I drove really carefully over to the apartment because one of those boxes was my box of alcohol. Last thing I needed was a broken bottle of rum or at the worst...Kahlua. I pull onto the street and there are just cars everywhere on both sides of the street. Seemed I drove into a neighborhood picnic. I pulled into the driveway, and got the apartment opened up. I met the downstairs neighbor who is Pauline and her yippy dog who doesn't like me. He kept growling at me. I'll kick that little shit to kingdom come if I have to. Then, it was Pauline's daughter across the street who was hosting the major picnic, and I got to meet her briefly. Think, Everybody Loves Raymond and you got my situation. I live above the parents. They are very nosey. I have a very funny feeling they aren't going to like me much. So I carried up all the boxes and I got to the last box in my car before someone offered to help. Oh well, I wouldn't of let them help me anyways.

So, I really think that no matter what Rick says, he's going to have issues getting my couch up the landing and up the stairs. Which reminds me I need to ask Brad if he will help me move, and then definitely get on Phil's back and see if he can't commit to helping me out. Those are the only two guys at work that I trust and that are reliable. I'd still really like to have Jay help me out but I can't bring myself to ask him formally and it's really up to him if he wants to come up that weekend. If he does come up, I'll definitely put him to work. ;) Not to mention, the more the less time it will take to move the big stuff.

AFter dropping that stuff at the apartment, I went to Mom's for a bit. I had to drop off her containers from the 4th and figure out our game plan for the rest of the day and for Monday. We ended up talking all afternoon with Charlie (Rick's friend) and then Dale and Ky came over. Afterwards, it was off to Max n Erma's and then the plan was to go and see Pirates. Yeah, the second part of that plan fell through. All four showing were sold out. Dang!! So, we came back to the house, hung out for a bit and then I came back here where I watched The 4400, The Dead Zone, and House.

Now it's 2am and I'm bored. Though, I'm finally starting to get a bit tired. Tomorrow it's more packing up, then if it doesn't rain Mom and I are off to the Lake Erie Fanfare Junior Drum and Bugle Corps. Hey, the tickets are free and that's the best way to go to the show. They are great seats too!! If it does rain, we're off to try our hand at Pirates again.

Trying to think if there is anything else. Nope, not at the moment. Soon as I get some time, I'll take pics of the apartment for you all. I know you all are about as excited as I am, because I've had a couple of friends want to visit, now that they have a place to stay besides my couch or the floor.
