I looked up and across from the screen, trying to think of what to say to you in response, and suddenly it is snowing and I can't control my breathing and things like distance and happenstance and cold hands are more than I can cope with.
I think about people as colours when I try to go to sleep, counting shades instead of sheep.
It only snowed for a little while, and then again when I was driving my brother to his house. I would like to see proper, thick, heavy snow again.
Kelli's comment about you being rich purples and teals is exactly right. When I first read your words I would have said burnt orange and deep pink, but now it is different. It is better, deeper.
I would like to see some snow as well. You will have to take pictures if it ever snows & send them to me, so I can close my eyes and pretend I'm there catching snowflakes in my eyes.
i have so many pictures of snow! living almost 8,000 feet up in the air will do that, you know. snowflakes that melt on cheeks and extra red blood cells.

Counting shades instead of sheep, that sounds marvelous. I count words to sleep, places. Rio Grande, Munich, Kyoto, Chicago, Tibet.
