Hi all! I can't be bothered doing a proper post so here's some of what's been going on with me in point form:
- My wisdom teefs are out! Hospital was a bit nerve wracking as I got in there at 1.30 in the afternoon and didn't get operated on until about 5.30 at night! Woke up at about 7pm, still high as a kite from the anaesthetic, and was slurring at a nurse with half my face numb - have *no idea* what I was saying but they let me go home so it mustn't have been anything too incriminating hahaha. The pain afterwards was quite bad as they had to drill into my jawbone (I had an impacted tooth which hadn't even broken the surface), which has taken quite a while to heal. Now I've just gotta wait till these annoying holes in my gums sort themselves out and I can eat properly!
Stayed at Mum & Dad's for about 4 days to recuperate which I thought might be a bit boring, but was actually just what I needed - to get away from *everything* and totally relax. Well, I had no choice really as I was on 2 types of painkillers constantly for about 5 days, which was the only way I was gonna sit back and chill for a while given how unhappy and stressed about a few things I was - so it has all turned out well. :) I gained a lot of perspective, and now have a refreshed mind, renewed outlook and have turned over a bit of a new leaf in my life which is making me much happier.
- I've quit smoking, it's been a month and a day now since I've had a cigarette - go me! It's all part of my new leaf thing. Ooh hang on I did have a couple of puffs on Lukie's cig last week at his birthday though, does a couple of puffs count?? Nah I don't think so. *pats self on back anyway*
- Dan's finished his Year 12 exams and I'm sure he went absolutely brilliantly. Hehe now I won't look like a child molester when telling people my boyfriend's doing Year 12 hahaha! Mrs Robinson indeed. It's his birthday on Monday actually and we will be the same age for 3 months until I race ahead of him again haha, so send him much love people!
- Read the new Harry Potter (definately the best so far - I was quite impressed with it actually), and am still reading Charlie Chaplin's autobiography which is still AWESOME! One day I might list all of the amazing people he met - from Gandhi to Howard Hughes, the Warner Brothers to Nijinsky. He spent quite a time just travelling the world being invited to dinner parties with all sorts of people who are now mega icons of some sort and relays the extremely intelligent conversations they had back to my eager mind. What also fascinates me is the time he depicts... he was there when Hollywood was just a little town, when Beverly Hills had coyotes running around the streets! I envy him, would love to have been alive in his time and seen what he has seen. He was an incredibly intelligent man and writes brilliantly. I don't want the book to end.
- Dan and I are going away to Torquay next weekend for a dirty time, shall be much fun. We have a party to attend on Saturday night up there too. We shall make sure we go to Bells Beach and do a bad Keanu Reeves impersonation from Point Break. :) But I need a sunhat.
- I still want a puppy. Rob bought Ros two black curly haired puppies for her birthday and brought them
into the office - not much work was done that day heh.
- Birthday shenanigans have been everywhere - bloody Scorpios hehe I've got another party to go to tonight! WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END?? Haha no it's actually been quite fun :) Happy birthday to any other Scorpios out there :)
- Work is going really well, they're so happy with the work I've been doing that they're paying me full leave for 2 weeks at Christmas (I'm technically employed casually so they don't actually have to do diddly squat for me). So for once I will have time off *and* money to spend :) I'm now also in charge of Teno jewellery for Australia yay! As I just said, they're really happy with my work... I seem to really get off on responsibility hmmm weird but oh well it's working well for me.
Ok I'm bored of this now. So yeah basically things are pretty good, and I've been working hard to make sure they stay that way. I hope everyone out there is well and happy too.
*muah*
xoxo
