The desktop was getting cranking & hanging quite often.
Not wanting the hassle of assembling a new system/ reinstalling Windows,
I decided to do a spring clean of the casing interiors instead.
It's such an easy & effective solution.
Using a vacuum brush attachment, remove the thick layers of solidified dust
that formed specially around the fans, heatsinks & powersupply.
Also threw out the dead & unused cables & parts.
Why do I need 2 IDE cables when there's already 2 SATAs installed?
And 2 unused fan/coolers that's not powered?? Duh.
Quite glad that I did so as in the process, I rediscovered
that I had bought rather high-end specs/parts then and
it would have been a waste to throw them out prematurely.
The system is running really fast now & no longer crashing.
Do include the interiors of your PC as part of the annual spring cleaning.
