A sign of the bad times?

Ya right.
SQ was serving Walls ice-cream on Sunday's flight !! Yikes!!
What happened to Haaegen Daz or Ben & Jerrys?

No more warmly toasted fresh buns in a basket.
A cold, inedible rubber ball in some flimsy plastic wrap takes its place.
And where's the appetizer/salad/fruits platter?

While I agree that having a printed menu is costly (done away years ago anyway),
they skipped the first round of pre-flights drinks too.
My first drink was a tiny glass of apple juice, served more than an hour into the flight.

At least CX kept that nice coconut desert/cake from TG's catering (in econ).
They only eliminated the table cloth and embedded it within the serving tray (in biz).

Sorry James,
I'm so going to pay just that $10/$20 more to fly CX for future BKK trips.
I'll take my chances with the free upgrades & better food.

btw. my big boss took SQ Biz from DXB-SIN in July and suffered food poisoning.
Everyone is now happily flying on Emirates for ME destinations.
