Wow, planning and organizing stuff is fun. First, the Spaghetti Dinner, then Alicia's room, and now my church's VBS! Yay! A way to keep busy... I have the whole VBS already planned out, except for the music, which I'm getting Monday! It makes me happy... I have to get a hold of a whole bunch of people tomorrow to tell them what's going on and who I need doing what, and what not. It's fun! But, yeah, I think there a few people's toes who I am unintentionally stepping on. I should feel bad, but it's not my fault, and they haven't confronted me on it, so whatever. I really hope our budget flies with the church board. I mean, I asked Angela what the average cost of a VBS was, and she said it usually ran from $600 to a few thousand dollars. When I told her ours would only cost $200, and that was allowing for extra, she was speechless because I showed her the prices we went and checked down at dollar tree and safeway. And since we plan on going to Costco, rather than uber expensive safeway, That should cut about $50 off of the food cost. Buying in bulk is a beautiful thing... I'm definately enjoying getting a little respect from the adults, too. I even held like a 5 minute conversation with Chris's dad. That is a BIG DEAL! Growing up is a nice thing... One of the ladies at church is kind of being mean about it, though, because she normally runs the VBS. I don't see why she should be being mean. She should be glad that it is happening at all, and that the kids get a VBS this year. I hate the pettiness involved in church life.
