HL Rec 'The Good Student' by Sylvia Volk
Highlander gen of the best kind. Methos and Duncan are in Paris after Richie's death, when an old student of Duncan appears. This is about Duncan as a teacher and immortal as much as it is about Methos and his life as Adam Pierson. I absolutely fell in love with this Methos, who is just a man, but one who has learned a bit in his 5000 years. I wasn't unhappy about the many sword fights he gets in this one either. ;-) Good fights, not the usual, they are focused on technique and make the fighting strangely sexy (i can say that, because I have yet to meet a Highlander fan who doesn't think those guys with their words are sexy.)
