well, i'm back from the cruise. it was nice, but i don't think it was my kind of thing. and though it was really nice to spend time with my family, and my grandparents had a wonderful time (which was the important part), i think it would have been infinitely better if i had been with friends instead of family. because we could've taken over the shuffle board court. damn old people...
things to do on the boat:
-sleep
-eat
obscene amounts of food
-go to the pool
-sleep by the pool
-work out
-rock climb! (only during certain hours)
-dance in the club at night (lame. mostly old people, not a lot of people dancing)
buuuuut:
yesterday we stopped off at this island called CocoCay and the cruise line owns it, so there weren't hundreds of people to harass us and try to sell us useless things (like when we stopped at Nassau and more than one guy yelled "nice ass" at my sister and i).
anyway, we went out onto the island really early before it got crowded and we walked along the beach and sat in the water, which was sooooo clear and beautiful. later we went snorkeling, which i had never done before, and the fish were so cool! if you sat really still they would swim all around you and none of them
bit me or anything! i did see a sting ray, but i stayed far enough away & it was ok. it was actually kind of pretty.
in other news,
on the drive home from port canaveral, i saw a dumpster with the words "STAY OUT!" spray painted in huge letters on the front...?
