books gooooood
i finished slaughterhouse 5. excellent. i think it's my favorite, but that could be just because i just read it.
i also read camus' the stranger. pretty good. the beginning was unremarkable, but it slowly got better and the last 3 pages were wonderful. on looking back, i think the beginning was supposed to be unremarkable. it was really obnoxious though, because someone had underlined all the names of colors throughout the entire book. man, that was annoying!
now i am deep in sartre's being and nothingness. it's slow going becuase he is wordy as hell. and in addition to that, the concepts kind of make my head spin. i may skim it and then ask gerrit to explain it to me or read a sparknotes or something. but i'll see how it goes, i may make it through.
