What happens when illusionists get bored. Also, a dragon.

*One of the buildings in town has gained a new roof decoration. A rather tall, impressive roof decoration in the form of a scarlet-scaled dragon, over six feet tall at the shoulder, settled there with its wings folded. Its tail flows down into the street behind the house, twitching and curling occasionally. It yawns, displaying gleaming white swords of teeth and a forked tongue for a moment before settling again. Flexing its claws, it snakes its neck around to observe the passers-by with its slit-pupiled golden eyes.

Truly, this is a fearsome creature, great in both power and size. But, where did it come from? And why is it only watching the people? Perhaps it's tired. Perhaps it's not hungry. Perhaps it's a friendly dragon. Or perhaps, as someone observant might notice, it's not real.

Maybe the slight puppet-like quality of its movements gives it away. Maybe the reflections of the sun off of its golden belly scales or long copper talons don't seem quite right. Maybe you have some sort of special sight, and can see the magic holding it together. Either way, it might have something to do with the resident feline illusionist, who is standing a little out of the way in the streets below. But what are the odds of someone noticing a cat woman in an alleyway when there's a dragon the size of a truck on the roof, honestly?*

((Psst. Check this poll if you've got the time, please. ^^ Also, if you're just drifting in and reading this post, seeing the date, and wondering if it's still open? It's open. Help meeeee, I'm bored between classes. XD))
