He's been making a map of this place to some success. So far it's mostly just streets and the ever-present tall, grey buildings but there's been a park or two and the kitchen that Crystal had led him to was on there also. It's not much but it's something to do without any sort of real job to keep him busy

"Oh, I'm sorry, I...I wasn't looking." He smiles sheepishly, thick eyebrows knitting together as he adjusts his glasses to get a better look at the man in front of him. No traces of the supernatural clinging to him -- or were there? Each time he blinked, there was a slight shift in the man's -- woman's? -- appearance, all coming back to how he appeared at first glance. A shapeshifter.

"I wouldn't worry, I wasn't exactly paying attention either. You all right?"
He knows that there's a fair amount of bulk to him between him and his pack as well as all the peripheral sharp and hard bits he's got attached to clothing and swords and such.

Soon enough, Hammond's eyes fell to the weapons the man carried. "Oh, um, those look...dangerous." His smile turns slightly awkward.

"Huh, what?" It takes a second for Nawen to realise what the other man is referring to before he notices him looking at the sheathed falchion at his belt. "Not really." He pauses and amends the sentence, "Well, yes, that's the point of it but not while it's there and while I'm not using it."

Upon closer investigation, Milo notices that the man has a map. Oh, now that might be useful. He approaches slowly, ready to bring up his gun arm if need be.
"Greetings, Sir," he says, tipping his head forward as he's seen others do. "Where did you acquire that map? Are you a local of this city?"

He nods his greeting with a tip of his head, "I made it, or, am making it. Why?"
And there's one of the questions he was going to ask answered. There's no way this man's a native if he's asking Nawen the same thing. "No, I don't think anybody here is."

He stores the man's suggestion in his memory unit, figuring it may come in handy later when deciphering other matters. Now is the time to improve his own map. He comes a little closer, taking decisive steps.
"Would it be a problem if I took a look at your work thus far?"
Reply
"No problem at all." He's not sure how much use the map will be as all the writing in in Nawen's native runic language and quite different to that strange 'Common' script on all the signs in this place. He offers the paper to the man nonetheless. "Here you go."
