re: triggering Kid's OCD spaz attacks.

I've been doing this for the sake of my own sanity! ... and will continue to do so for Liz's sanity as well.

Kid is obsessed with symmetry. If you've talked with him for even five minutes, you could probably tell this. He talks about other things in canon besides symmetry! We even have chapters where he doesn't mention it once! And ... then he'll get hung up on it and fail in hilarious ways. I personally think it's funny as hell when it comes up! But too much and it gets old and very, very tiring.

Luckily, the general rule of thumb in canon seems to be that if it's funny, it happens! And before it gets too old, he gets over it and things continue as per the norm. So ... if the situation is funny and I can think of a funny and creative enough way to have Kid freak the hell out? It'll happen! And if not? He'll pause, blink, and then move on - it's canon! This way, it doesn't get old for me and doesn't drive bangupsob insane too quickly, and our threads end up being far more entertaining than they would be if they were just "spaz!!1 spaz!!1 SPAZZZZzzz". Part of what I love about Kid is that he has more to him than just the crack! And I'd like to play with that, heh, rather than constantly freaking out at everyone since that gets old reaaaaaal fast.

SO while triggering Kid's OCD is all well and good and absolutely hilarious at times, don't be surprised if he just ... keeps on rolling. Because that's how he rolls.
