its been ages since I've really sat down and actually journaled... it seems as though lately all I've done is create an electronic scrapbook of funny snippets and pictures, horoscopes, and perhaps a tiny blurb as to what's been going on, but nothing of any true substance...
I used to write lengthy entries and *gasp* full party reviews, yet somewhere along the way it just trickled off into near oblivion... I mostly have school to blame... now I'm not saying school is a bad thing, for in fact I feel just the opposite... but I do miss having the time to really sit down and write a proper entry...
this summer has been a blast, though you'd hardly know it, thanks to the lack of recaps and other such entries... and I'm lucky to have so many great friends, and a fantastic boyfriend, to have made those memories with...
now as it stands, Harvest Festival recently occurred and thus marks the official end of summer... I saw a few of you as we dance under the stars to the driving beats, in that ancient nearly tribal fashion... celebrating the arrival of the Autumnal Equinox, as our Tribe really knows how to mark that occasion well! I had such a blast, and spend much of my night laughing until my sides split... and while its only more in the betrothal sense, I handfasted with Jos that night - I was compelled by forces from the Universe to announce my intentions aloud for all the stars to witness, and come a year and a day from that point, I forsee the engagement becoming official... all in all, it was one last romp in nature for us all before it really is time to start winding down into fall, and to prepare for cold weather and cozy nights in...
Saturday was BACK 2 BLACK, and while it was thrown under the collective name of Team Harder, this event was really more Daha & my love child than anyone else from the crew... it felt good to get my hands in and help shape this night, though since it was Daha's birthday, I left most of the booking to him and concentrated on promotion and deco crew organization... the turnout was great and the music was fantastic!!! anyone looking for an amazing blend of techno and hard trance should REALLY think about booking Ladius and LeFreak together, as their set was by far my favorite of the night, and that says a lot seeing as I'm a devout Dharma Lab addict!!! Brenda dropped one of my all time favorite tracks, Into the Deep Blue [sorry if I ID'd the track incorrectly, but Myke should know the one I mean since it was in the first mix of his that I got a copy of, which is always in constant rotation on my playlist] and from there you couldn't chisel the smile of my face for days!!
this weekend looks to be promising... any Torontonians who wish to see me should speak up, since I plan on being there at some point on Thursday... I'll have free time in the afternoon/evening both Thursday and Friday while Jos is at work, and it would be nice to catch up with some of you that I miss dearly... and while we're considering going to DarkRave on Saturday, its not guaranteed that we'll show up, since I'll be spending my first real Canadian Thanksgiving with Jos' family on Sunday, and its bad form to be late for such things... also, our 6 month anniversary is on Monday... fitting we started dating on a holiday, Easter [which happened to fall on his mom's & Nick's birthday this year] and 6 months later we're going stronger than I ever pictured possible <3
