Danish Cosplay Summit 2007

Mar 19, 2007 18:07

Since I promised in the last post, here are a few of the pictures taken of us at DCS. I (Marie) am Esther (the whiteclad nun) and Stine is Caterina (the cardinal in red).
There are lots more out there in cyberspace, and quite a few (really good ones) on some of our loyal friends' cameras, but until we get those, this will have to do. We also plan on making a "behind the scenes" post so you can see pictures of the progress and the characters were are cosplaying.

Our stage performance consisted of a short act (in the genre of romance/drama/comedy/absurdity) and a song (Dress, the Buck-Tick song that was used as the theme song for Trinity Blood - but we'd tortured it horrible by transposing it to fit our voices better). This picture is from the singing bit.

Afterwards, all the cosplay groups did a lot of posing. Here are a few shots from our little session on stage.

After all the cosplayers had made their performances, the prizes were given. Here is Adrian Pallis, president of J-popcos who arranged the competition (with the Japanese Embassy), handing us the biggest plane ticket I have ever had my hands on. We were given some smaller ones to take home, though.

Press en masse. It was a very strange feeling to be talking to Japanese TV people and being congratulated and commented by so many at once. But we were very, very happy. :-)
