I am taking some antibiotic medication. The pills have the notorious additive E102 (akak Tartrazine) in them. For solely the purpose of making the pills look yellow.
Ok, adding this to random foodstuffs I could understand. But a medicine? Something a doctor will prescribe, and tell a patient to consume, for a very good and specific reason? What is the reasoning behind putting a colouring in a prescribed medicine? "Oh, the doctor might not prescribe the medication if it's not the right colour". "Ooh, the patient might refuse to take their pills if they're not yellow." Both completely twitty reasons. So why?
