Google earth - at last, Edinburgh is not fuzzy

At long last, Google Earth now has decent resolution aerial photos of Edinburgh!

quite recent too (check the quartermile project) and taken during the festival (check the meadows)

I noticed quartermile and the tents on the meadows. I also noticed the festival tents set up in the pleasance.
Do you think it was last year? Or even this year?

Last year, at a guess - there are still cars parked in the Crichton Street car park, which has been a building site since at least spring. Still, Mickeysoft's offering has Edinburgh pictures that are several years old, going by the same sort of evidence.

last year, if not the one before.

there are 4 wheelie bins at the top of our street and they've since been spaced out. also - the quartermile stuff is a hole in the ground in the pix, but i think that the glass-n-steel towers were partway built during the last fest.

Yes, there were four pebbles, two clusters of pine needles, and a crushed snail at the foot of your walk earlier last year, so it couldn't have been taken too recently. :)
