I think I'm a foam roller believer.

I go to the gym on Tuesdays, and boy, do I not heal as quickly as I used to. I'm super sore the next day, better Thursday, but often still a little sore even on Friday. On the one hand, this keeps me from working out more often. On the other hand, my trainer, Andy, keeps track of everything and makes it harder so it never gets easy.

Anyway, Andy told me you can't do much for it except drink a lot of water to flush it out. But fitness bloggers often talk about using "foam rollers" to massage out the stiffness, so I finally ordered one.

Trying to use it by myself didn't do much for me, but when I asked J to help me tonight, it was amazing. He used it all over me and I hope the neighbors couldn't hear me moaning and groaning. Ow ow ooh ow ow. Afterward I felt SO invigorated. I'm still sore - especially my abs, which we couldn't really roll. Besides squashing my innards, I'm super ticklish. As in, I will never get a pedicure, don't touch the backs of my legs, my whole midsection is totally off limits! Ha ha.

Anyway. We'll see how I feel tomorrow, but for now, foam roller thumbs up.
