It's Been a While
Back to the fic world for a bit. You'll all enjoy a break from my political rants, won't you? Of course you will.
So I had my gallbladder removed last week and that hurt like a bitch, but I'm slowly coming back. I have some horror stories about half-assed sedation and sociopaths with IV needles, but I'll spare you that unless you really want to hear.
Classes resume after labor day and I'll be starting my final year at UWM. Fingers crossed for University of San Francisco for grad school.
Yeah, kinda bummed out about the series being canceled, but everyone seemed like they were ready to move on anyways. And it freed up my time to study the glory of Doctor Who (ohmigod Doctor Who).
But you know what I miss more than the show? All the fanfics. Once the show ended all the fics kind of slowed down, and I know I was part of that. You know, once it was canceled that should have been a signal for us all to go nuts with our fic universes. Because what are they going to do about it, amirite? Especiallly because there were so many loose ends; What happens to Calleigh (she should get promoted)? What about Eric? What happened to Valera? Will Travers ever come out? What will become of Kyle? How's Ray Jr.? Is Yelina lurking or did she find somebody else? There is still so much unexplored regarding Horatio's personal life, especially his childhood. I don't buy that Saris is just going to quietly walk out of the picture, where the hell is he? What happeed to the rest of IAB? And, of course, the Horatio/Rick relationship needs to resurface.
Maybe there are more writers, they're just not slashers, but... still.
(also, will fix the slashmetwice table soon... just not now)
Anyways, it's getting late and I need to take the pain meds and go to sleep. I'm turning in for the night. More fics to come.
