I'm still alive. Just kind of quiet. I've been sitting back and just kind of observing lately. I have daily Miami RPs with
wolfsong98. but I haven't really written any narratives in a while. I have a new reader/reviewer over on my fanfiction.net page, so she's been giving me a bit of a nudge. I do want to write more, I've just been having a bit of a hard time getting a good footing.
But I got a fancy typewriter for my birthday. He's a Royal model #10 from 1933. Really handsome and built like a tank. I've been doing rough drafts on it, it's easier to stay focused when the thing you're writing on doesn't have internet on it. Fact checking is good, but I just get distracted.
It's all
Do Florida prisons have A/C? -> Living without A/C in the South -> Health conditions without A/C -> Current temperature of Santiago, Chile -> Average monthly temperature of Santiago, Chile -> Current temperature of Siberia -> Altai Mountains
Suddenly three hours are gone, I'm still only two paragraphs in, and no matter how much I read about the Southern Hemisphere and Siberia, it's still 100 degrees here and the damn A/C unit didn't fix itself.
Also, I've been watching a lot of Doctor Who, so he's been keeping me busy as well. I'm determined to watch the entire series now. Started on 9 (am on 10 now) and after I finish all that are on Netflix, I'll find a way to whip around back to 1 and work my way back up. Dad's happy (I'm home for the summer because my apartment gets too hot), he used to watch Doctor Who when he was my age; but as much pride as he has in the common ground, I think he's starting to think I'm a little nuts.
I have my Senior Voice Recital in December and need to get a dress (it's a big thing at my university - having the best outfits for your recital). I was going to make one, but then I realized how badly I would want my own Doctor Who scarf by winter, and I only have the time for one major clothing project. Scarf won.
other than being stuck at my parents' house until I get an A/C unit that would fit the windows in the new apartment, I'm good.
I miss Horatio and Rick.
