Well this weekend has been pretty good. Friday night I came home from work and finished my taxes...i did it online and it was fairly easy. I have never done my own taxes so I am hoping I don't have the IRS after me and end up owing like $10,000 or something. :) Thank god it is tax refund time, because it is very needed, with the move and all. I would be WAY more pumped and will be more pumped once a job works out! Either way I will be out of the ghetto :)
Yesterday I took Amber to see Reba McEntire in San Antonio...AT THE RODEO. Even though I have been her over a year and a half, and went to college in Southern Ohio, I WAS IN TOTAL CULTURE SHOCK. It was interesting to say the least! Anyway, I also saw part of the rodeo, it was pretty cool to see them do what they do...minus the way the treat the calfs (or steer or baby cows, as I like to call them). But at least I can say that I have actually seen a rodeo, not sure it that is a good thing, but amber enjoyed it. Reba WAS AWESOME...even though she isn't my 100% favorite, she was just very warm and fun and put on a wonderful performance, so I was glad we went. The rest of the day wasn;t so smooth, I deleted the email that had vern's number in it on accident so I didn't have her number, and that sucked, I was looking forward to meeting her :( She had called right when we pulled out of the parking lot and amber was having issues, etc so we had to take off. But one day VERN!!! And the weather driving home was horrible, RAIN AND FOG combined with texas drivers isn't very fun...
Today is alone day...It is nice. Amber started her part timer out in Round Rock at Target so she is gone all day. I slept in, I was so exhausted, til 1130, which I rarely do. I am doing the laundry and packing and it is just nice to have a day alone with the kitties. Everyone needs alone time, and I like it! I can listen to Sonny and Cher and any other queer music that I want without amber complaining :) I am just teasing, she is great, but today was a good day.
I am sitting here with the sliding doors open and this refreshing breeze coming through. It reminds me of summer nights in Ohio. I love this kind of weather and breeze, come to think of it, this is the first time I have felt this breeze in Texas. I LOVE IT...I am going to go out and enjoy a smoke and then back to work!!!!
