Summary: Orion makes breakfast.

Eric always woke up slowly, and this time was no different than usual. He blinked groggily, the mingled scents of frying bacon and brewing coffee tickling his nose. As he sat up, tiny, glittering sparkles fell from his chest to the sheets- who had he been sleeping with?

Right, the angel. Sweet, innocent- or not, he smirked, remembering some of the previous night- Orion. He pulled on a pair of pants, brushing more sparkles off of himself. The smells intensified as he opened the door and walked down the stairs. There were eggs, too, and Eric hoped Orion didn't expect him to eat all of that. He was never very hungry in the mornings, no matter how much exercise he'd gotten the previous night.

Orion was in the kitchen in last night's clothes, the tight white fabric of the jeans clinging to his ass like a glove, the sparkly net shirt showing far more skin than it concealed. Well, it wasn't like he had any other clothes here. Orion turned as he walked in, a quick, startlingly sweet smile breaking over his face. "I, um, I made coffee?"

"Great." Eric poured himself a mug, almost grimacing at the bitter taste- he drank it to wake up in the mornings, or when his grandparents were over. In general, he liked tea.

Orion beamed as he took a sip- obviously some sort of personal triumph. The boy needed to get out more. "I made breakfast. Eggs and bacon?" He motioned to the two plates he had put on the table. "How many do you want?"

"Just one egg and a couple of strips of bacon's fine, thanks." He couldn't help but smile at the angel's obvious enthusiasm. Orion reminded him of a puppy, all bouncing and smiles and, well, maybe just a little leg-humping.

Orion nodded and returned his attention to the frying pan, flipping the food over, then serving, one egg and two strips of bacon onto Eric's plate, and the rest (three eggs and the rest of the pack of bacon) onto his own.

"You're going to eat all that?" Eric queried, raising an amused eyebrow.

The angel flushed. "I'm, um, hungry? Is that okay? I should have asked."

Eric laughed and shook his head- the kid was adorable. Not that he was a kid. He'd gotten a bit snippy when called that, grumbling that he was over three centuries old and wasn't a kid, darnit. "It's fine, Orion."

Orion beamed. "Okay."

Eric was distracted from his own meal by the way Orion ate- not so special in any way but how fast it was. He could swear it was sucked in. "So, you're powered by a black hole."

"People keep saying that." Orion popped the last bit of bacon into his mouth, eyeing Eric's plate with barely disguised covetousness.

"No. My bacon. Bad angel." The blond man covered his plate protectively.

"Aw, fine. Does it taste okay? Everything's all right?" The angel took a sip of his own coffee.

"Everything's fine. But for future reference? I do like tea better." Eric smiled and took a sip of his coffee.

"Oh..." Orion really did look like a puppy now, a freshly-kicked one. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get it wrong. I can make you some tea."

"Huh? No, it's fine. Just for future reference." He emphasized the word, hoping that it would distract the angel.

It did. "Future? Tea? Sure!" Orion beamed at him from across the table, and Eric felt an uncomfortable sinking feeling in his chest. This was definitely the start of something and he wasn't sure he was going to like it.

canadianevil, outdated: tea, submission
