Two What Ifs
I don't know why I was thinking about this but mind was doing some free associating at work. I started off by thinking...
1)What if Ryan did end up in a group home and once he aged out of foster care he ended up homeless and trying to finish high school then he encounters one of the Cohens.
...and ended up thinking...
2)Ryan ends up in the group home and things at the Cohen household disintegrate quickly. Sandy and Kirsten divorce, Seth either stays with Kirsten or goes to boarding school. Once the divorce is final Sandy decides to get guardianship of Ryan, which he does. Since Sandy isn't around to help him, Caleb goes to prison, maybe Kirsten goes to Sandy for emotional support. (No Kirsten/Jimmy or Sandy/Julie!) I like Kandy and Cohen+1 family interaction so maybe Ryan and Seth play matchmaker.
Didn't Sandy keep Jimmy out of prison too?
Also since Ryan didn't go to Tijuana Marissa died of an OD. (1 and 2)
