The Nana and Sophie Rose

I'm not Jewish, but my understanding is that it is against Jewish tradition to name a new baby after a living person. Assuming this is the case, there are a few scenarios relative to The Nana and her namesake Sophie Rose.

1. The Nana is very much alive. When she finds out that her newest granddaughter is named after her, she is incensed and accuses Kirsten and Sandy (or just Kirsten or just Sandy) of trying to kill her or at least wishing her dead.

or

2. The Nana is in fact dead, even though they didn't mention it on the show. Show how she died (from cancer or something else). Show Sandy and the family grieving her. Show Kirsten and Sandy discussing naming their new baby after her nana.

or

3. (could be combined with #1) The Nana is alive when Sophie Rose is born, but dies shortly thereafter. Sandy feels responsible, because he tempted the fates by bucking Jewish tradition and naming his daughter after a living person.

Bonus: Where did the "Rose" come from? Was it The Nana's middle name? Or maiden name? Or maybe it came from Kirsten's mother? Or somewhere else?

Additional bonus: Include Sandy's other family like his brother and sister, cousin Jeffrey, etc.

sophie cohen "the nana", sophie rose cohen, bunny needs home, kirsten cohen, kirsten's mother, sandy cohen, season 4
