Fandom: Power Rangers: Ninja Storm
Character Name: Samantha (goes by her middle name, Misty, when she’s at the Thunder Academy/morphed)
Brief background of character: Samantha grew up in the town around the Thunder Storm Academy, and was approached by the Sensei shortly after Lothor’s defeat. She agreed to take classes, but chose not to remove the face mask, since she didn’t want anyone to know she was taking part at the Academy. She became a student in Hunter’s class
Character’s Position or job: Works in a cafe with her mother
Strengths/skills: Is determined, and tries her best to succeed when she puts her mind to it; is the violet Power Ranger
Are these skills typical of the fandom? If not, why?: Power Rangers exist, but a violet Ranger isn’t seen very much. In the story, this is because the violet ranger abilities have a bad reputation
Weaknesses/Bad habits: Is naive and easily led/manipulated. Because she doesn’t have any inherent psychic abilities, she sees herself as less important - and more expendable - than the other Power Rangers. Because of this, she’s dangerously stubborn and willing to get herself killed
Connections to canon characters (if any): As Misty, she’s training under Hunter, but later becomes one of the Power Rangers. As Samantha, she starts dating him
How does your character get on with those around her?: Hunter’s the only other Power Ranger who she really gets on with. It’s not that she doesn’t like them - but she has trouble accepting her heritage
