So, falseyoureyes was like "I also encourage others to post their favorite songs by any band" and as I am bored ATM, I'm totally going to :P
First off, Muse, obvi.
I was going to post the live version of "Stockholm Syndrom" because the improv parts especially, BLOW ME AWAY. But then, I came across this, and felt it was super necessary.
"New Born" is one of my all-time favorites, and the first song I ever heard by Muse, after which I fell totally in love. It starts out sososo pretty and ethereal but then it's like, *LET US MELT YOUR FACE* So goooooood.

"Don't Lose Touch" was the first song I heard by them too :P Maybe this is a half-ass theme, sort of. Aside from The Offspring...anyway "Thrash Unreal" almost won out, but evidently it didn't.

Again, first. Going along with the theme here. Fight Club FTMFW.
This song is epically beautiful, I can't even get over it. LUV THEM.

So next up was "No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age...but embedding disabled again, sigh. Anyway, I love it because it's so dark and eerie and melodic and hard and sexy all at the same time. They are masterful at that combo. Also <3 Dave Grohl.
