Fair enough. Someone did bring up the point that just anyone can slap on a shirt and think they are "helping" but I really think it's more than just wearing the purple. It's getting people to be aware. I would probably think it strange that all of a sudden everyone is wearing purple, and if we can get one person to ask and get one person informed, we've done our jobs. Since even getting one person to wonder what's going on, and to be aware of the prejudice is a step in the right direction, even if those around us are just doing to follow a "trend." I think it's still a pretty good step, if a small one.

I don't think anyone is naive enough to believe that just slapping on a color is going to change the world. It's one tiny cause that can be added into many other causes that create something huge. The idea itself, and the unity it brings is good enough, in my opinion. I think people need to do more than just wear a shirt, totally, but it's nice that people are doing it. Plus, it's also a recognition of the kids who committed suicide and showing people as a whole that no matter how much they are bullied, there is always hope.
