Congrats guys, we're witnessing the first African American president in history. This is a defining moment.
I didn't particularly like Obama. I didn't particularly like McCain either. In fact I am kind of RAEGING at people right now. STFU about how much McCain sucks, or how much this or that and just be happy we have a new president k? K. We voted so now we have to keep our convictions. No bitching about what might come because even when Bush was in office, he was voted there. It's kind of our responsibility. We brought this upon ourselves by voting.
This is in no way saying Obama won't make a difference. I am sure he will, and great change will come to this nation. Hell, I am so proud of everyone who voted no matter who you voted for because wow guys, just wow. This is history. I LOVE this nation no matter its faults or problems, and anyone saying otherwise really should rethink it. We were born here, we should be proud. And even if you weren't born here, if you live here and realize ALL the privileges we get for being in this country, you'll see why you should feel some semblance of pride. This isn't just any old election for a lot of us, this was OUR election, the first time WE got to vote. And now we have to live with our decision for better or worse and try to make this country better.
I am so excited and proud guys. I am HAPPY to be an American.
