Beach/surf wear challenge.
Okay the beach/surf wear challenge. Not my favorite nor am I happy with the results but... Earlier in the night I was watching Stoked with the kids, The surfer girl were complaining the that they don't get on magazines much. So, I when for the direct surfer girl/beach sports look. Bakini top is sexy yet supoortive to reduce the chance of "escape". Surf girls like to wear trunk/bermudass when they surf. These butto directly onto the bakini bottoms. Trunks are made of light weight nylon, so they dry quickly. Between the stripes on the legs there will large mesh/fishnet for added feminity. I added a wrap hoody, because we all love a cute hoody. they wrap give it a stylish twist.
Look 2 Avant Garde...I am not happy with this either but given the time frame this is what I came up with. The colored pencil didn't scan well so I put color boxes in the corner. When I think of ocean I think mermaids. The greenwrap part is something shimmery like sequin. The sequin is overlaid witha very sheer fabric in the blue to cut down on the shine but still leave a hint of it. the lower "poofy" part is made of crinkled sheer blue with ostrich feathers over it to give a water movement effect. The pointed end of the green wrap parts peak out of the bottom of the back to hint at a tail but may at time be covered by the movements of the feathers. The colors should fade from green to blue give an almost dip dyed effect.
I can hear tim saying it is too costumy. I say Avant garde tend to be alittle costumy. *shrug*
