FILLED: Jared/Genevieve - Simple Pleasures 1/2goddess_julieApril 24 2011, 21:16:46 UTC
I hope that this is what you were looking for. The thought of them sharing these types of moments makes my life and this was what I thought about when I read the prompt.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
They’ve had a long day. Nothing has really happened, it just seems that whenever they have time to themselves, time to be married and in love and just be, something comes up. He has a convention to do or she’s filming a pilot or rehearsing for an audition. The last time they had a weekend to themselves, family drama had come up and they’d both had to fly down to visit her family and put an appearance in. She loves his family, she loves hers, and she loves their jobs, but for once she’d like to just be able to spend time with her husband and enjoy his presence.
Had someone told her that they’d have less time to themselves once they’d gotten married she would have cherished those moments in Vancouver when they could lay in bed, even for a few hours and listen to each other breathe. When they were tangled together, his long, strong legs tangled with her own, her hair fanned out across his chest, their fingers twisted and clasped together, one over his heart and one over hers.
There is a voice behind her, pushing her forward towards the car they’d rented for the night to take them to their next destination. It’s time for renewal for Supernatural so Jensen, Misha and Jared are doing the circuit for the CW going from finale party to finale party, putting in appearances in hopes of … what? She’s not sure if they’re hoping for another season or to go out on a high note. The show has the most loyal fans that she’s ever seen in a show, they would do anything for these boys and while Genevieve knows that the boys are appreciative of that fact, they’re in desperate need of a break. Her phone sounds and she knows instantly that it is an alert to let her know where they’re off to next. Looking down she’s surprised to see “home” illuminated on the screen.
It’s still early, barely eleven o’clock. With a glance up at Jared, she sees his smile and nod.
“Did you put this in here?” she asks, climbing into the limo. Jared falls in behind her and to her surprise, the door closes and they leave without Jensen and Danneel or Misha and Julie. Surprising her once again, Jared shakes his head.
“No. It was Dani and Jen.” Jared loosens his tie and pulls Gen closer, pressing a kiss to her temple.
“How?” Genevieve asks, leaning into her husband’s embrace. She’s afraid that if she gets too used to this idea, of them having the rest of the night off, that it will turn out to be a joke and they’ll really be going to another party. “Why?”
“We need time to ourselves. I want time just for us. So they’ll take care of the rest of tonight, and then tomorrow I’ll carry the load for the interviews. They’ll meet us for lunch and we’ll go on from there. We get tonight, they get tomorrow morning.”
Jared catches Gen’s mouth in a sweet yet hungry kiss, taking the time to map out her mouth with his tongue. He catches her soft gasp of surprise and deepens the kiss, pulling her onto his lap. When he feels her body sag with relief and a touch of exhaustion he allows himself to relax, running his fingers through her hair affectionately.
“I love you,” he whispers against her temple. He feels her respond against his throat, punctuating her statement with a kiss.
When they arrive back at their house Jared thanks the driver and watches his wife walk up the front drive with her shoes in one hand while her purse is clutched in the other. She looks as exhausted as he feels and a surge of affection rises in him. This is his wife, his soul mate. The mother of his future children, and as she pauses on the threshold of their house, the smile that she throws over her shoulder at him causes his heart to skip a beat.
