Please Excuse Us (Jared/Jensen/Genevieve)eastdiseaseApril 23 2011, 21:14:14 UTC
Impossibly sugary, oh my god. I hope you like it! :')
She likes that they’re all on the same page, that they all understand each other. She feels more comfortable and at ease with Jared and Jensen then she has since Wildfire, with Micah and Ryan, and they were great guys, but there’s something about Jared and Jensen - there’s something so intense about their relationship, about the way they love each other, that makes her smile.
When Jared kisses her for the first time, on set though out of reach of the cameras, she doesn’t think about it much. She laughs and she punches him playfully on the arm and he grins back. He’s got such a beautiful smile.
But then, sometimes, Jared kisses her and lingers, waiting for her to react and when she finally does, she can feel him smile against her mouth.
Jensen sees them a couple of times but doesn’t comment. By the time Jared or Gen realize he’s there, he’s just smiling. Jared sometimes makes a flustered remark and Genevieve usually stands and blushes, and then hurries off in the other direction. She somehow feels embarrassed to be caught between them. She feels like they have a secret, and she hasn’t been around long enough to learn what it is. She makes guesses sometimes, sometimes thinks about it so hard that she has to roll over in bed and shove her face into her pillow and focus on the past so she won’t think about an unlikely future.
The first time Jensen touches her - really touches her - she doesn’t flinch away. She’s thought of this moment so many times and Jared’s lips on her neck feel good, and Jensen’s fingers against her back (even through her blouse) feel like tiny trails of flame. Then Jared and Jensen kiss tentatively and she wants to cry; it’s so beautiful.
She does cry, actually. She collapses into Jared’s arms and clings to him and Jensen’s fingers disappear and she hears him stand, but then she manages choke out, “Don’t leave,” and he stays. “You’re both so beautiful,” she sobs, and she knows her mascara is running. She rubs her face with the back of her hand and stares at the black smear then laughs. She feels Jensen rejoin them, his arm carefully wrapped around her waist. Jared relaxes and kisses at her tear streaks. It’s impossibly romantic, and she can’t believe she has this.
She marries Jared because she loves him, and he loves her. She cries on their wedding day. He cries too, though he blinks most of the tears away. She kisses him and this is right. This is exactly where she belongs, and Jensen is there, too. Jensen is Jared’s best man and he kisses her forehead and hugs Jared and gives them his congratulations. Genevieve can’t stop smiling and can’t stop crying. Jensen touches her arm and whispers “Love you,” and Gen bursts into laughter, clapping her hand over her mouth and leaning into him. He hugs her, a quick squeeze, and she says it back, “I love you, too,” in his arms, against the warm skin of his cheek.
“I’m the luckiest woman on Earth.”
She looks between them. Jared’s heavy arm is slung around her waist and Jensen has both of their heads in his lap. He’s currently curling Jared’s hair between his fingers. Jared’s eyes are half-opened. He’s dozing. Gen can’t sleep. She doesn’t want to sleep.
“You’re the most beautiful woman on Earth,” Jared corrects in a sleepy mumble with one of his trademark goofy grins and Gen smiles, shifting so that she can tangle her fingers into his hair with Jensen’s. She looks up at Jensen and he smiles and leans down and kisses her quickly on the mouth. She smiles and turns and kisses Jared. His lips move after she’s settled back against Jensen’s thigh and Jared sighs, turning up and pouting his lips at Jensen. Jensen grins and kisses him. Jared leans happily up into it.
She had been afraid of this business, and her parents had tried to convince her to stay away. But if she hadn’t she wouldn’t be here. She wouldn’t be in the arms of the two most perfect men, able to sleep and cry and trust.
She scoots a little closer to Jared, so she can hear and feel his slow breaths, and she falls asleep with Jensen’s fingers playing with her hair.
