I would probably sob for another sequel in which Zach makes Leonard admit himself to Bill. But that's just wishful thinking and overly loving the Shatnoy.

ANYWAY, I thought this was really, really fabulous. Though I do have to say that Leonard and Bill's interaction was my favorite. |D

That's my favourite bit of the whole fic, as well. Sigh.

I'm enjoying the random Leonard-POV so much (I write too much Leonard POV) that I may well write a sequel, but whether Leonard will declare himself, I don't know. There's no such thing as 'overly loving' the Shatnoy, though. I mean. OTP. O_O

And maybe Chris will convince Zach to convince Leonard? OR, Chris talks to Bill and finds out that Bill has also carried a torch for long years, Chris and Zach compare notes, and they get someone to cave?

Or if you want to go with the bittersweet, Zach could convince Leonard to go for it and Bill can be like that's sweet, i love you too, but not that way, only it's not awkward... i have no idea how that would work, and it'd break my heart anyway

I'm contemplating Leonard orchestrating, in a fit of madness, some dinner party with the four of them, kind of hoping the boys will be obvious and Bill will be like, inspired or something.

am at work, so excuse poor typing (people walking past me - yup...) but yes. This would obviously involve some smoosh about how Kirk and Spock are always meant to be together in every universe. maybe Bill seeing Pinto kissing in the kitchen or something. OH maybe he could tell them (in a winking kind of way) that it was all good, don't worry, he'd have taken up with Leonard after his first divorce if he'd thought Leonard would have him. And then Chris and Zach are like - !!!!! but Bill's walked off again and they don't dare bring it up until they've thought it over and IDK but this would probably require like 2 sequels.

Hm. I think it would be nice to have the recurring theme of like... admitting what you feel, i mean -

part one - leonard says it's too late for him, but not for zach, to tell him what he feels. zach's uncertain. the point is that whatever the outcome, he will still have taken that chance.
part two - leonard is far too invested in this, vicarious living. zach does take the chance, and it's a chance well taken. happy endings for him.
part three - full circle... it's never too late too take that chance.

Though the details of who's pushing who to what and maybe there's a finding-out that Bill feels the same, or - *thinks more* maybe it's better that there isn't, that the audience feels the same tension and uncertainty that anyone feels when admitting their emotions, even after all this time. It's scary. And really, this story is all about Leonard, even when it's about Zach.
