So I've totally NOT been working and have been reading your fic. I should feel guilty but nah, not so much. You know how much I adore your work and I've been both intrigued and nervous to read this fic since you first mentioned it.
First of all, what a beautiful portrayal of Sam and Cas' friendship. Maybe one of the best I've ever read. Both felt very real and very true and I loved the fact that Sam was very important in all of this and yet not in a sexual threesome sort of way. (well yes, sexual but I mean in the portrayal of their friendship). I love Sam and Cas as friends and you wrote him very well.
I also really appreciated that the conversation about the souls. It was perfect. It didn't dominate the fic and yet it was so important and so well written and very true to their characters. Beautiful bb.
I will admit that reading the part where Dean and Cas were dating and Dean was struggling with his attraction for Cas in Sam's body was the hardest part for me to read. You made it very clear that Dean was attracted to Cas - and not to Sam but as someone who doesn't read wincest that was a little harder to read. But it was written beautifully. You really conveyed both Dean and Cas' longing and struggle and the way they tried to find accomadations that worked.
The sex at the end was glorious as you write it magnificently. I was so happy for them both and the scene felt perfect for all the buildup. Overall a challenging, brilliant piece of work.
