I've decided recently that I'm going to throw myself more completely into my yoga and meditation practice. Now that Catherine has added a Sunday class, I'll be doing Yoga twice a week until the end of the semester, and then three times a week starting in May, plus whatever sporadic stuff I do by myself at home. I'm also doing significant weights and light cardio at least three times a week. Today someone showed me an incredibly inspiring video:

Holy shit, right? It's my goal to someday get my body in the condition where I can do stuff half as cool as these guys (particularly the handstand in full lotus position, whatever that might be called). I don't think Yoga should be about competition, or vanity, and having overblown expectations only leads to disappointment, self-blame, and thus suffering, which is antithetical to what Yoga is all about. BUT...there's nothing wrong with striving to be at the top of your game, right? Now, I'm sure a disciplined diet goes along with all of this, but don't even get me started on that... particularly don't ask me what I had for lunch today.
