Oh my God! St. Paddy's in Dublin is like nothing else on earth. Firstly the parade? It lasted for something like 2 hours. It was so amazing, there were these crazy circus people with floats of dragons that roared and big birds on stilts... I can't describe it. You'll just have to see the pictures when I finally get them on here. They were all so colourful. A drag queen sitting on the top of a gigantic blue float asked my to be his/her hero. There were a bunch of pirates playing hard rock on top of a pirate ship. A lion tamer asked my to come home with him and be his wife. Then a lion came up behind him and mauled him. Sigh... there go my prospects.
After the parade Molly and I split and I wandered into a pub, where I drank my first pint of Guinness and watched rugby (my new favourite sport) with a bunch of old Irish guys. The Guinness... well at least I tried it. It'll never be my favourite though. All the old Irish guys went home around 6, but then some young French fellows joined me and bought my dinner (fries and sausages, ugh I'll get a heart attack) and entertained me with their weird sense of humour until late at night when I decided to go back to Julies house.
Today we're going to walk around a really beautiful lake, then Mike from the farm we're going to in Wicklow is coming to pick us up and we'll be there for 2 weeks. I'm not sure what the Internet situation will be like there, but I'll try to keep in touch.
