Wow...what a weekend. And yeah...only one person is going to know the significance of the title of this journal ~_^
I was up to no good...as you can all imagine. Yep...you can officially say goodbye to the good, 'nice' Amz you might have seen before because she is dead and GONE ~_^
I will warn you now...this is a) a long journal. b) about cars. and c) not all of what's discussed here is LEGAL ACTIVITY YO. If you feel like having a nosey in something you never thought I'd do...read on.
Friday
Well...that was a fizzer and a half. ~Infamous-Angel and I went off at about 10pm to the park up in town...no one there. In fact, no one was there until freakin' 11-11:30 or so! Even then, it was mostly randoms. A few of the Chosen Few rocked on up. And as usual, to my great frustration, nothing really happened because we ended up sitting in the car. I hate doing that...LONERS.
And wouldn't ya know it, the police trawled on through and told us 'If you don't move you get towed'...so we moved -.-; And as usual Amanda and I hooned off to fast to see where everyone else went...got stuck doing loops in town trying to find people!
Friday...sucked o_o
Saturday
Was definitely better. Got to the park up at a decent time...people started to trickle in slowly. Don't mind the lack of details in places...my head is still SPINNING from details I shall divulge further down the page. I forget bits...everything is a bloody rush at the moment.
HOLABK and MYRHYD where there in their matching WRXs...I was too chicken to get out and say hi as usual. I think I managed a pathetic wave. 0UTKST and her Cedia wagon were there, as was HEYBRO...he was the first to actually introduce himself to me since I seemed to be looking around but not joining in. And yep...Amanda was STILL sitting in the car (boy you love that seat don't ya? ). Got introduced to 0UTKST too (and yes, calling them by their number plates)...met Erron finally as well (OSiRiS, aka VR-FOE)...yeah, managed to get around a few people. Getting to know the Chosen Few somewhat. They're getting to know my car too.
Park up didn't last that long since the police kept on rolling through (keep in mind we're all perfectly legal, just some people being a little loud perhaps but it was ALL GOOD)...eventually everyone got sick of it by the looks of it and scarpered. Instead of getting lost this time...we followed.
Following, as I discovered, involves doing LOOPS to form a TRAIN o_O; Loops through the motorway bend down to the bottom of Parnell Rise, then a quick U-turn to head back up to the motorway again.
MY GOD the train that night was HUGE. That is...one loooooong-ass line of cars. We took off down the motorway heading south, eventually dropping out and heading through the back streets of Onehunga. Oddly enough it seems the old 'route' was still the same. At this point, I was actually so terrified my hands and jaw were shaking uncontrollably and it was warm inside the car; well, who wouldn't be scared? Turns out we were going to the drags.
I can't remember how many times we parked up, but every time we did we got shooed by the police or left anyway. The police were bloody everywhere that night...in fact, they'd even cordoned off the MOTORWAY to do LICENSE CHECKS. Yeah...I was close to puking with fear at that point x___X You're not meant to be out on a restricted license after 10pm unless you have a passenger who's had a full license for over 2 years. Amanda didn't have a full license for that long...but apparently the cop didn't want to check and let us go O_o He was remarkably polite too. Good on him.
There was a random Evo beside us on the motorway check, btw...it happened to be labelled 'TAADOW'. That would be Andge's car...the top dog in Chosen Few. I dunno why but I found that pretty cool XD
Ended up parking up at a petrol station for a while...it was cool, there were 4 silver Subarus in a row =)
Left there, took off to Drury (I think). We took the wrong turn and got lost...txted Erron and got set back on the right track again. Lol. By the time we'd gotten to this point we'd had several stints up and down the motorway with the better half of perhaps 200 cars? Give or take. I'll be the first to admit I was keeping up with the crowd here, and the crowd wasn't going slow. I'll say this - at the speed limit, my car sits at 2700rpm in 5th gear. He was going 3500rpm+!!
We ended up going SOUTH of Drury in the end...holy crap, I've never had to use my full beams before but it was THAT DARK. I swear...I saw cows o____o;; It was WOPS, mate. At this point it's after 3am and I was pretty buggered. Still, we sat there for a while waiting for someone to do something...nothing happened at all. In fact...everyone panicked because the Police came. AGAIN. I was about to pull out when this monster fuckin' white Subaru SCREAMED past (people, we're talking about fast, fast cars here...when I say screamed he was redlining, and probably in 3rd gear)...another one followed, this one dark blue. They were Chosen Few boys! Of course, I did my best to catch up and follow...not easy when they're turbocharged monsters.
Still, we were back on the motorway north again. Auckland was probably...40km away x___x; far out we'd gone a long way. I followed the two Subarus - the white one had round crystal tail lights and a 22B wing...the blue one was wingless but still very pretty. And there's me in behind, stocker except for the lights and the wing. I hear another Subaru burble, not unlike the ones ahead...another blue Subaru, wingless, boots his way up in the other lane and hangs beside the trio of Imprezas...a few minutes later, a red WRX hatchback boosts up the outside as well. Five Subarus riding abrest! Given a few more minutes, a SIXTH Impreza, this one silver and wingless, makes its way up amongst us too - we're actually leading the pack of all the well-over-100-strong cars all the way back to Aucks here.
At this time, everyone is heading home mostly...we followed some randoms doing a loop but decided to leave them be and disappeared off home ourselves. It was 4am before I got to bed...blugh. Almost passed out in my clothes!
Sunday
Kept on getting fucking woken up. Chris, I swear, as nice as you are...YOU KNEW I WAS UP ALL NIGHT! You KNEW your txts were waking me up REPEATEDLY! >___<;;
I ended up sleeping until 2...Amanda tried to ring me but I did the 'take a message' trick =\
Turns out she was trying to tell me about the Mission Bay cruise. >_<; D'OH.
We managed to catch up eventually...go figure. Rolled on up to the park up in town in the middle of the day for once...there were only Chosen Few cars there, and not that many either. Still...I think a grand total of two people recognised me and acknowledged my presence...thanks guys. Not that you-know-who sitting in the car helped =P Oh well, I'm getting used to it.
After a while everyone left...we followed OSiRiS in his Evo...he went round in circles (literally) for the sheer F**K of it a few times before joining the crew...who were waiting for us. Lol. We went through Mission Bay, building up a bit of a force...it was mostly Subarus and Evos today which suits me just fine. Andge and Erron seemed to take turns leading in their Evos, heading east out to Botany. People joined and left the train, but we stuck around till we arrived at...where were we again? O_o I was so freakin lost. It was some random shopping centre where I got McDonalds anyway; nasty as usual but the cars around were awesome enough to make up for it. I parked just up from Andge and Erron; before I knew it, two more Subarus rolled up directly opposite me, then two MORE were a couple cars down. HOLABK pulled up smack bang beside me in his WRX too...man, it was like SUBIE INVASION! I had a txt war with HEYBRO and spoke to Erron a few times (he almost ripped my left wing mirror off at one stage, the stupid skinny little bitch...I honked my horn at him of course)...before everyone left, Andge stopped by to say hi to me and introduce himself. I feel touched by fame :3 Even though he kinda scares me a bit. I know he's all good though...the fact that I'd appeared three days in a row and have been so active on the forums might just have made an impression on him.
Of course, Amanda needed to use the loo just as the entire shopping carpark was pulling a mass exodus for the drag strip...D'OH. She did a good job of RUNNING! We managed to catch the middle of the crowd somehow, and headed off to...well, again, I was lost as hell.
A bit of pandemonium later and we ended up at the drag strip. After some serious indecision we found a nice spot up on the MUD so we could watch what was going on...
First thing that happened was some random piece of poo on four wheels pulling helicopters at all ends of the street. He was pretty damn good I must say. Some tiny Starlet or something (or was it a GTX?) pulled a burnout in front of us too...funnily enough that particular stunt doesn't impress me, it's more donuts that get my attention. I mean heck...spinning flashing lights inside a cloud of tyre smoke; that is cool.
Needless to day...finally, there was some action. Before I knew it, there were races happening. A few cars started screaming up the road at breakneck speed, side by side, to the end of the rather long, straight road. A few boring cars hooned up and down again, but after a while some good ones went for it - two bright blue old-school Evos just fuggin' LAUNCHED and screamed past. Honestly, I've never seen a land vehicle move that fast in person! Sheesh. One of them was from Chosen Few...good god that car is fast. I think his Evo's done a 10s quarter mile, which explains plenty.
There were a few Evo vs Subaru drags, plenty of Evo vs Evo races...then came the big one.
There was this spectacular series of burbling howls and roars from the other end of the road, and full-beam headlights cut through the tyre cloud (yes, launches and helicopters DO rip tyres up, lmao)...the roars were strangely ethereal compared to the other boring car-sounds from the other end of the road. When the beasts took off, there was a strange reverberating richness to the engine cries...seconds later, two white Imprezas, not too different from my own, shot past in a deafening cacophany of boxer-esque screams and wastegate WHOOSHes. Let's just say...seeing two Subarus racing each other...I think I creamed myself.
They did it again and again and again. There were twin Evos racing constantly (several different sets...white ones, blue ones, black ones, etc), but the Subarus...dayum. I was actually in heaven!! =D
Eventually there was a random HOOOOOOONK from a truck that had the BEJEESUS scared out of it from driving up to deliver something, BUT NOOOO there were 232034802384283042983 little fast cars hanging out there. LOL. Of course, that meant BAD so everyone disappeared on the double. I decided...well, screw it, it's Sunday, I'm going home.
And here I am.
WHAT A WEEKEND.
Lol. I'm only going to do one day next weekend because I'm so totalled this weekend x___x;; Wow. I think they're bordering on taking my illegal virginit0rz. I'm tempted to race...but uh...Shale is too slow o___o; And well...it's illegal. Arr.
I don't have a lot more to say...my brain is on overload. Let's do it this way...if you have any questions, ask =)
Btw...Josh, I miss you... I thought of you a lot throughout the weekend...you and Sidra would have enjoyed it. A lot of the cars would probably have pwn'd Sidra since they're suped up to high heaven, but it would have been fun anyway. <3
