Guess who's got a guest list spot for Peter Murphy at Cambridge? Huh? huh? * does little victory dance*
Haven't been to a gig in AGES I tell you - so this should be a lot of fun. We'll be meeting up with Mark GT before or afters I think. Some sort of social spot for the October calendar.
Other meaningless stuff....
Sean and Jen successfully got Kim and I watching 'True Blood' - they started us off as the show had it's UK premiere while they were here. We really enjoy it for our "Friday Night" complete with curry dinner. I didn't think I was going to be able to get past the name 'Sookie' and I still snort with laughter the way Bill says it.... Though I do have one complaint, and I was not alone. One night, after the credits started rolling Kim turned and looked at me,
" I never though I would say this BUT....there is just too much gratuitous sex in this show. It's getting rediculous."
I had to agree. It reminds me of the period where Six Feet Under got the same way, and I just started rolling my eyes and taking that opportunity to get some ice cream or use the bathroom.
Still trying to find some decent work too...trying not to get too despondant about that. This also has the knock-on effect of not being able to go to Whitby this October, and not being able to come back to CA for the holidays either. This will be the first time in 4 years that I will not be coming home for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. I am trying not to think about it, as I find it really depressing and that' just doesn't help me much at all right now.
