Hello all...
Today is a lazy day. It has been an exciting weekend. My birthday was last Wednesday. So, accordingly I took vacation days this weekend. I went to Dollywood with the family, my gay husband Jefferie and my girlfriend MJ on Saturday. After that we went to meet Tracy, Scott, Ned and Vince for dinner at Tomo followed by a night of drinking. That was fun. Then yesterday Scott and Ned had us over to their house for a dinner party. Scott and Ned cooked appetizers, salad with homemade dressing, lasagna made from scratch and of course Scott's famous coconut pound cake. It was truly amazing. Yum!!! It was good times. Today is a lazy day. Then back to work tomorrow.
Outside the realm of birthdayness...life is a bit stressful. My rent is going up $125 a month. I am not really sure what to do about that. When I moved in here I signed a 5 month lease. She informed me that it was 5 months because she wanted to get the leases on schedule with the school year. That makes sense to me. So, she said she would need to know if I was gonna stay in the apt 2 months before the lease was up and that the next lease would be for a year. Well, I told her that I was going to stay for the next year and asked if I needed to sign another lease. I don't really remember what she said in response to that but the point is that I never signed a new lease. So, MJ has been staying here quite a bit since we got together. And last week the landlady told me that since MJ has been staying here the utilities have gone up, which I understand, and that she is going to have to raise the rent. So, I'm looking at having to get another job...yuck. I suppose it is a good thing. I need to work more and save some money. Things at my day job have been stressful. Hours there are sucking and just barely paying the bills. So, I need to get another part time job anyway, but it still kinda sucks. Oh well...
Things with MJ are great. She is truly amazing. I can't remember ever being as happy as I am when I'm with her. She and I just seem to fit together so well. It is early. We've only been together a few months. So, only time will tell, but so far so good.
I didn't post this on here, but the day after Labor Day my dog Eleanor passed away. It was a total tragedy. I was very upset for a good bit about it. MJ got me a puppy though. Her name is Maddie. She's a really small lab mix. She's such a cutie. She is doing well. She is 4 months old. And she is such a puppy. She tries to chew on everything and she is hyper! Gotta love her though. She just too cute!
Well, hope that all is well with everyone. I'm off to the store!
