A Public Eulogy
Hello Everyone.
I quit posting on this journal regularly a while ago, but I wanted to provide it with an eulogy of sorts.
During my freshman year of college, I decided that I would abandon my old LJ de_flandres and begin this one. I no longer identified with many of the things I had written under that name, and wanted to begin anew online. And now, four years later, I find myself in the same position. I've grown a lot in college, and once again feel the need to move on from who I have been. I am no longer the person who wrote most of this journal. Indeed, there are a number of things written under the name obsidiandice that I grow more distant from, and I will probably abandon the name entirely over the next year.
I will be keeping the account active so that I can continue to read other journals without advertisements, but I do not intend to post on this journal ever again. Should I ever return to the site fully, it will be with a different username and a paid account.
Thanks to everyone who's supported me, entertained me, and comforted me over this journal. I wish you all the best.
