Is anyone else in need of repairs to their clothing?  It seems to be my main source of business these days.  Should I be concerned that Disturbia is souch a rough place?

A tailor could find himself in trouble.
I hope you're all well mannered enough to keep the theatrics clear of my shop.  I'm a professional.

[Screened to Disturbed Mello, unhackable.]

I do not think you will ever be in a level of trouble you cannot extricate yourself from.

I have not damaged my clothing. Is it necessary to interact in a professional capacity?

Necessary? Of course not, Seven.

The transmission did not leave much room for purely social contact. I thought it advisable to check.

Disturbia is only 'rough' depending on who you choose to surround yourself with.

You're not very good at playing along yet.

Then I am not supposed to pretend it was a genuine observation?

Yes, but challenging it to the point where it sounds false defeats the purpose.

[There's an absorbing silence.]

I will play along more effectively next time. I could have agreed about the danger and offered to protect you.

I take it your information-gathering has been productive.

Sort of. It's the kind of thing best discussed in person.

[She detests responses that are neither here nor there.]

Then we will discuss it in person. Are you presently at your shop?

I'm taking a little time off from my shop today. If you're coming by, could you bring a small frog-tank? I'll repay you once you get here.

I will comply.

[Seven keeps it terse, since she expects her questions to have sensitive answers. She knows the way to the nearest pet shop, as troubling a thought as that is. The effort doesn't inconvenience her and she has more than an inkling of why it might be useful: Belphegor's last transmission sounded like it was outside, and there was croaking. The subsequent mental image of Garak keeping track of loose frogs amuses her.]

[It takes some time but Seven eventually turns up with the promised tank, which is slightly bigger than the words 'small frog tank' would imply. She's looking unburdened but also faintly impatient. She's useful to have around when things need carrying. Worker drone is for working. Still, if Garak doesn't open the door promptly, she will reserve the right to break it down -- so much for Disturbia not being a rough city.]

[Then it's a good thing Garak opens the door promptly.]

Thank you, Seven. Come in, he's asleep.

That answers my first question.

[She moderates the volume of her voice accordingly.]

Where would you like me to place the tank?

Through here, quietly.

[He heads into the room where Belphegor is sleeping (drugged, actually) and he's already cleaned off one of the tables in preparation. He gestures at it, then goes to pick up the little case with the frogs in it, to release them into their new home.]

[Seven cautiously sets the tank down on the cleared surface, casting a glance towards Belphegor's unconscious form. She leaves Garak to relocate the frogs and exits the room ahead of him. Remaining there is not conductive to the conversation. Her idea of quiet is too quiet. She'd rather annex Garak's kitchen -- it's more familiar.]
